There’s a great, free program on Web MD that calculates your current health state and what you need for optimum health. My husband sent it to me a long time ago but I figured I’d try it now, since I’ve just been to the doctor to, to see if it matches up to the real thing. Guess what? It did.
So for a painless, anonymous estimate of your health, you can go HERE.
And because I do believe honesty is the best policy, here’s my full disclosure …
Your Personal Summary
- Gender: Female
- Height: 5’ 5”
- Age: 31
- Current Weight: 162
- Current Pant Size: 10 (It’s really an 11 but they didn’t give me that option)
- Weight Goal: Lose 1 pound per week
- BMI: 27
- Waist to Height Ratio: 0.49
- Healthy Body Weight Range: 111 and 150
- Target Heart Rate: 95 to 142
- Target Caloric Intake to Meet Weight Goal: 1751
I finally just this week broke the plateau of weighing 163, and I did it by adding one more trip to the gym per week. Looking at my assessment, that also makes sense. I’m not willing to drop my caloric intake from 2000 to 1751 but I am fairly willing to work off some of that difference. I’m also not striving for 150. I’ll be pleased as deliciously frosty fruit punch with weighing 155. Just seven more pounds!
